Tl;dr: it’s a game about potatoes that makes fun of pyramid schemes. It is not one. You can’t earn money here, and anything you buy is a virtual item with no cash value.
It’s a parody
Ponzi Potato satirises get-rich-quick schemes, multi-level marketing and pyramid schemes. The “potato pyramid”, “futures”, “bribes” and everything else are game mechanics. Inviting friends only ever gives you in-game bonuses: bigger virtual fields and more virtual customers.
Not an investment, not financial advice
- No money is ever paid out to players, for any reason.
- Virtual cash, potatoes, products and scores have no real-world value and can’t be exchanged for money.
- Nothing on this website is financial, legal or investment advice.
Bought advantages
Some items in the black market buy you an advantage in the game, and we openly call them bribes. Players who bought advantages are marked as such on the public leaderboard, together with how much they spent. The leaderboard is entertainment, not a fair competition, and there are no prizes.
Any resemblance
Characters, companies and events in the game are fictional. Any resemblance to real potato magnates is coincidental.
